The primary objective of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) is to provide support to the OIC-Gambia Secretariat in preparation for the 2022 Heads of State and Government Summit to be held in The Gambia. The LOC consists of eight sub-committees: Security, Accommodation, Events, Documentation, Transport, Media, Logistics, and Protocol. The Chairperson of the LOC is Binta Jammeh Sidibe. 

The members of the LOC and its sub-committees are professional Gambian volunteers from various fields with vast experience and expertise. 

Each subcommittee is headed by a Chairperson who represents the committee on the main LOC and consists of eight members. Recommendations and activity budgets of each sub-committee are presented for approval by the Chairperson of the LOC.

The secretariat is represented by the Chief Executive Officer on the LOC for coordination and guidance.
