The Secretary-General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, H.E. Hissein Brahim Taha, who is on a three-day official visit to The Gambia, on Thursday met with the officials of The Gambia OIC Secretariat and the Local Organising Committee at the Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara International Conference Center.
The Secretary-General was briefed on the mandate and progress of the ongoing preparations for the next OIC Heads of State Summit in The Gambia. He was also taken on a conducted tour of facilities at the international conference center, which was purpose-built to host the global gathering.
SG Taha said he was impressed by the report and pledged the support and commitment of his organization to support the country as preparations intensify.
